What to include

Reporting a wrong or outdated figure: tell us which calculator or guide, what figure looks wrong, and — if you can — a link to the official source with the correct number. Corrections are the highest-priority work on this site and typically go live within days.

A result that doesn't match your bank or the CRA: include the inputs you entered and the number you expected. Often the difference comes down to a convention we can explain (or document better on the page); occasionally it's a real bug, and we want to know.

Suggesting a new calculator: tell us the decision you were trying to make when you went looking for it. The best tools on this site started as a specific question someone couldn't get a straight answer to.

What we can't do

We can't provide personal financial, tax, or legal advice, and we can't tell you what you should do in your specific situation — not because we don't care, but because doing that responsibly requires a licensed professional who knows your full picture. For decisions involving significant money, please talk to a financial advisor, accountant, mortgage broker, or lawyer as appropriate, or contact Service Canada directly for CPP and OAS questions about your own file.
